Sonoma Drift: SUMMER JAM
Thursday, August 25, 2011 at 2:32PM MINT went for a weekend of awesome at Infineon Raceway for Sonoma Drift: Summer Jam! The event was a two day affair with team tandem competition on the first day and indiviual competition on the second day. The event was a chance to bring the ASB-style event to NorCal.
MINT team tandem was tight all day. Even though Chris was under-powered he kept up and the tandem train was rocking.
This weekend was the first time that Chris had tested his new lower control arms on his 20 valve 4A-GE Corolla. As always, his car looks awesome and even better now with the fender modifications.
Alex set out this weekend to refine his skills with the hydraulic handbrake. That didn't stop his 1UZ-FE powered Corolla from making a wall of smoke.
Sherry was a crowd pleaser once again, bringing cheers from the crowd like she did at Stockton 99 Drift.
Big thumbs up to Matt Field for making it out to the event! It's always a treat and a great motivator when a Formula D driver shows up!
