BUILD LOG: SR20DET S13 PART 4
After the unfortunate close up with the Sonoma Raceway wall, a new rear end was in need. 2F Performance really is the savior of drifters.
Lots of chopping, lots of bladdes, lots of death disks.
Of course the fit and quality of the LFC panels were immaculate. The panels hung neatly lined up tightly.
The downtime also provided an opportunity to swap out the rear differential for a more aggressive final drive. The car was still rolling on the automatic 3.9 gear. This is quite high for the SR20DET turbo lag and made third gear seemingly useless at some skid pads. Jose was able to trade a 4.6 rear gear and it absolutely changed how aggressive the car felt.
With new tires and new differential, the car came alive and could really be pushed. It now just took skills to catch up to the car.
