2015: IN REVIEW
New year, new goals. Admittedly, we had a quiet 2015. We didn't attend as many events as previous years, and our builds didn't progress as quickly as other years.
We started the year at Sonoma Raceway for the kick-off of Golden Gate Drift. Sherry and the vert looking absolutely stunning.
The year seemed to be off to a great start. But when GGD Round 2 came around, it seemed as if our luck turned around.
The vert was hit from behind and the car wasn't right for the rest of the weekend. Broken axles, alignment issues, the car didn't want to behave.
But its not all bad news. After a three year hiatus, we saw the return of Eric behind the wheel of his own car. Powered by a LS V8, the car sounds like a monster.
Suspension and engine tuning are still needed. So long as Eric can keep it off the walls and tire stacks.
There was another new engine on the team as well. Lawrence pulled the SR20DET out of his S14 and put in a 2JZGTE. More power. Power is good.
Alex sat out most of the year, but he was able to take the Corolla out for a stretch at Winter Jam. The new ITB setup gives the car a viscious sound.
Of course, Alex took some time off after a big hit in Stockton.
So whats in store for 2016?
Chris is still building his Corolla. The SR20DET is in and wiring is being completed. There is still work to go, but we hope to see it back on the track soon.
Nate has left the car dormant since All Star Bash 2014. Life seems to always get in the way.
Mike has a new chassis and all the parts left from the old car. The car is going to be back any day.
This year we are going to rebuild. We've taken a long break from drifting together. Projects are coming together and builds have good build progress. The old team tandem trains will be back soon. 2016 here we go.
