The hardest part of building a new car isnt the build, its the endless testing and tuning that follows afterwards. The formula makes sense, but lets see what happens when we put it into practice.
The first event was at our local Sonoma Raceway for Wednesday Night Drift. The car performed as well as a freshly built car could. The suspension was not dialed in and the tires were unsuited for the new power level. The engine roared and caused a ruckus.
Event after event, Eric and the car seemed to improve every step. The car didn't want to cooperate at all times, but there was plenty of potential and progress.
Problems needed to be solved, but one event at a time. The big event to aim for was Sonoma Drift Winter Jam.
Winter Jam came and went quickly. It unfortunately did not go without a hitch. The ongoing trouble with the lack of grip could not get resolved in time. Eric had a crash with Alex and it resulted in some broken suspension arms.
