MINT has made it an annual tradition to make it to the first round of Formula Drift at Long Beach. The round is within driving distance from us in Northern California and it's a great excuse to visit all the delicious food spots around Southern California.

Walking around the pits, we spotted the Evasive Motosports FR-S. The bodywork and the livery just makes this car stand out from all the other FR-S builds.

We even ran into a couple Nor-Cal buddies!

And we met up with Taka Aono to give him a couple stickers and check out his new build. We met Taka before at the last two ASB events and we saw a bit of a sneak peek last year. It is great that he is always so friendly to us!

As competition began, the weather did not look like it was going to cooperate. Gloomy, cloudy skies looked like it was going to give way and rain all over the first round.

The competition stayed dry and all the drivers put on a great show.

It is great to see the professionals at work. Watching the drivers and see all the cars up close keeps us focused and pumped.  Hopefully, we can make it to the couple other rounds can't get enough of watching the pros be pros.
